Established in 2001 in Hong Kong by renowned philatelist, Ms Anna Lee, named in the 2022 edition of Linn's Stamp News Most Influential Philatelists, Royal Philatelic Society of London - Life Member and Fellow; American Philatelic Society - Life Member; Collectors Club of New York - Life Member; Club de Monte-Carlo - Member (2012-2022); Singapore Stamp Club - Member; China Stamp Society - Member; Smithsonian Institution National Postal Museum Council of Philatelists; Hong Kong Philatelic Society - Life Member (Vice President 2008-2018), with a view to providing a platform for philatelists and dealers to purchase and dispose of philatelic items, predominantly, China focused. Ever since our first auction in November 2001, we have diversified into other fields, such as Numismatics, Fine Arts of China and Hong Kong, Wines and Spirits and Memorabilia of legendary icons such as Bruce Lee, Princess Diana and Frank Sinatra to name a few.
Phila China will continue to hold five to six auctions per year in addition to organizing philatelic exhibitions. World China Philex 2018 was an excellent example which successfully concluded in March. It was the first ever philatelic exhibition of one frame exhibits in both competition and Court of Honor with a solely China focus. Grading system was also a first ever introduction whereby ancient imperial scholastic grades were adapted.
On 29th February 2020 commemorating the sesquicentenary of the Royal Philatelic Society, Phila China successfully organized a stamp exhibition "Gems of Asia" at their new premises in London.
